At the heart of the thousand-year-old Gaillac region in Cahuzac-sur-Vère, the Cinq Peyres estate is situated on the heights of the Cordes plateau. Charles Bonnafont’s family established themselves here in the early 2000s, and he took the reins in 2008.
The name Cinq Peyres is an homage to the varieties of limestone found in the vineyards’ soils, “peyre” being a regional derivation of the word “pierre”, which is the French word for rock. Vinification takes place completely without sulfur, using only indigenous yeasts.
