Maison La Pierre Ronde is the négotiant venture of Antoine Lepetit de la Bigne, who for almost two decades has helped Burgundian growers learn and apply biodynamic farming methods. (He founded the École Du Vin et des Terroirs with Anne-Claude Leflaive in 2008.) In 2012, he published What’s So Special About Biodynamic Wines: 35 Questions & Answers For Wine Lovers, and he founded his independent biodynamic consulting company, “La Pierre Ronde,” in 2016.
The first vintage of wine under the “La Pierre Ronde” label is 2021, a year of difficult conditions and small yields, but having worked so closely and for so many years with the region’s growers, Antoine had the close relationships which allowed him to purchase very high quality fruit. We are honored to have the opportunity to bring it into California, despite the tiny quantities available.
