Vins Saisons is a small négotiant project started by friends Loïc Lamy and Eric Pignal, located in Meloisey in the former cellar of the Rougeot négociant business. When we say small, we mean small – only 8 barrels were made in both 2019 and 2020! The 2021 vintage was even smaller, given the dearth of available grapes due to the difficult conditions the year was known for. But the wines, which include bottlings from the Côtes de Nuits, Saint-Veran and Savigny-Lès-Beaune appellations, are delicious and worth seeking out. Both Loic and Eric have serious credentials behind them, having worked with large and very well-known domaines in Burgundy, including Château de Pommard (Eric) and Domaine de Montille (Loïc). The wines are made exclusively with grapes that have been farmed without pesticides or herbicides; some are farmed biodynamically.
