Dominique Terrier is the son of grape growers who were early adopters of organic farming in the Jura, and he worked those vines alongside his parents until he branched out on his own at the age of 28. After some years spent in the Beaujolais, he and his wife moved to the Languedoc region to create Les Deux Anes in Peyriac de Mer, converting the vines they had purchased to organic and biodynamic farming. In 2017, after his marriage ended, he took over the vineyards of Château Saint-Auriol in Lagrasse. He created the Dom et Terre estate with these 6.5 hectares, which had been farmed organically since 2011. In 2017 and 2018, he added 10 hectares of neighboring vines (also organic) of Viognier, Roussanne, Grenache, Syrah, and old Carignan. The whites run along the banks of the nearby river, in limestone soil.  The reds are spread over 7 plots surrounded by Mediterranean scrubland, located on hillsides between 160 and 300 m above sea level, on shallow clay-limestone soils with a predominantly west exposure.
